Job summary

Holman Logistics is seeking a reliable dispatcher to coordinate shipping/receiving activities, manage daily pickup schedules, and ensure data accuracy in the WMS and SAP systems.

You will handle carrier documentation, engage with customers, and train new staff while maintaining a safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with warehouse and transportation to complete shipping/receiving docs accurately and on time.
  • Ensure orders meet daily pickup schedules safely and efficiently.
  • Verify and count products for data accuracy in the system.
  • Maintain WMS scheduler and generate TOs via SAP.
  • Verify accuracy of shipping/receiving (BOL) documents.
  • Print and attach labels to carrier shipments and Bill of Lading.
  • Interface with customers at dispatch window and manage inquiries.
  • Maintain data/records related to shipping and receiving activities.
  • Train new associates and delegate dispatch tasks.
  • Resolve escalated issues promptly and accurately.
  • Keep dispatch schedule up to date and manage loads/picks.

Job description

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Coordinates with warehouse and transportation to ensure the completion of shipping/receiving documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the orders are on schedule to meet the daily pick-up schedules in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Verifies and counts products to ensure data accuracy on system.
  • Maintains warehouse management system (WMS) scheduler.
  • Ensures accuracy of all shipping and receiving (B.O.L.) documents.
  • Prints labels for carrier shipments and attaches to Bill of lading.
  • Handles all customers and customer representatives at the dispatch window.
  • Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities.
  • Trains new associates.
  • Ensures that escalated issues are resolved timely and accurately.
  • Delegates work out the dispatch window to associates (full picks, piece picks, loads, and inbounds)
  • Keeps the schedule up to date
  • Uses SAP to create TO’s for full picks and inbounds
  • Checks in OTR driver with inbounds, outbounds, and empty trailers
  • Completes all paperwork correctly and legibly
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience in transportation control.

Intermediate computer or tablet skills; intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP.
