Job summary

Akuna Capital invites driven students to join Trading Sneak Peek Week, a one-week micro-internship in Chicago designed to introduce the tools, skills and models used by our trading teams. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to options trading and real-time market activities.

Participants will work with trader trainers, study risk management, game theory and decision making, shadow desks, attend lectures and networking events, and receive transportation, housing and a competitive stipend.

Qualifications

• Graduating between December 2027 – August 2028.
• Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, actuarial science or related field.
• Able to attend program in person at Akuna’s Chicago headquarters.
• Entrepreneurial self‑starter ready to work in a fastpaced, collaborative, team environment.
• Strong math, numerical, and quantitative skills.
• Demonstrable interest in trading and the financial markets.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. from day one, including F-1 OPT/STEM.

Responsibilities

• Attend a crash course on the exciting world of options trading.
• Learn risk management, game theory and decision making with trader trainers.
• Shadow trading desks to learn Akuna's market‑making approach.
• Participate in roundtable networking sessions and firm events.
• Transportation, accommodation and a competitive stipend are provided.
