Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City is seeking a Markets Asset Servicing Associate to lead end-to-end processing of global corporate actions and income events across multiple securities.

You will collaborate with trading desks, middle office, finance teams, and settlements to deliver exceptional client service and drive process improvements. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of asset servicing or securities operations experience with corporate actions.
  • Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles and global securities products.
  • Advanced risk and control awareness with mitigating controls experience.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven workflows with accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication across teams and external counterparties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Series 99 license required or to be acquired within 120 days.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively.
  • High attention to detail and adaptability to changing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for corporate action events across markets and securities.
  • Investigate and resolve complex dividend-related queries.
  • Be SME for asset servicing processes and guide junior staff.
  • Manage high-volume workflows to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting and daily controls are completed accurately.
  • Produce and analyze operational metrics to identify trends.
  • Identify and escalate issues; collaborate to resolve problems.
  • Support cash and stock break management and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Participate in industry-mandated projects and client requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of risk policies and escalation protocols.

Job Summary

As a Markets Asset Servicing Associate within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will play a key role in the end-to-end processing of global corporate actions and income events across multiple securities types, including equities and fixed income products. You will work closely with trading desks, middle office, finance teams, and settlements, gaining valuable insight into operations and contributing to the delivery of exceptional service for our clients. This role offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements that enhance our operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily operations for corporate action events across multiple markets and securities types, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Serve as an escalation contact, investigating and resolving complex dividend-related queries
  • Act as a subject matter expert for asset servicing processes, providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Manage high-volume workflows and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting and daily controls are completed accurately and on time
  • Produce and analyze operational metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Proactively identify and elevate issues, collaborating with team members to resolve complex problems
  • Support cash and stock break management, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing more efficient and cost-effective methods
  • Participate in projects driven by industry mandates, process enhancements, or client requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of risk policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to escalation protocols
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Three years of experience in asset servicing or securities operations, with expertise in corporate actions and/or income processing
  • Strong understanding of the transaction and trade lifecycle and global securities products
  • Advanced risk and control awareness, with experience implementing mitigating controls
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven workflows with accuracy and quality
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and issue resolution skills
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external counterparties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Series 99 license required, or must acquire the Series 99 certification within the first 120 days
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • High degree of attention to detail and adaptability to changing business needs
