Job summary

DRW is seeking a Risk Product Analyst to work with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quant Researchers across desks and asset classes. You will diagnose and resolve issues in risk/valuation systems spanning applications, APIs, databases, and services, while coordinating with engineering and product teams to implement strategic solutions.

The role emphasizes strong market knowledge, technical depth, and the ability to work under pressure, with an annual base salary range of $175,000 to $250,000

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of financial products and markets, with strong technical skills.
• Former experience in trade support or trading technology within a production trading environment.
• Ability to write Python and SQL to investigate issues, automate diagnostics, and reconcile data.
• Familiarity with production diagnostic tooling including log aggregation, dashboards, monitoring and alerting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to isolate issue sources.
• Excellent communication with PMs, traders, researchers, engineers, and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Quantitative Researchers across desks and asset classes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in next-generation risk and valuation systems across the tech stack.
• Monitor system and trading issues and prioritize incidents by potential impact to trading and P&L.
• Escalate to engineering, quantitative, or infrastructure teams with clear diagnoses when needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to identify recurring problems and drive solutions.
• Develop tools and Python scripts to automate diagnostics and improve workflows.
• Build understanding of trading and risk infrastructure and dependencies between systems.
