Arcus Search is seeking a Trading Operations Engineer (SRE / Platform / DevOps + Python) to support global trading infrastructure with remote work across US/Canada time zones. This role aligns to GMT-5 (approximately 11am–7pm ET) for coverage during core market hours, with production stability and incident response as primary duties.
You will collaborate with traders and engineers to minimize downtime, improve automation, and advance reliability in a fast-paced, technology-driven trading
Qualifications
- Strong Linux fundamentals with debugging and networking.
- Understand networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Hands-on Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, scheduling, debugging).
- Experience with Helm or similar config management.
- Comfortable in 24/7 support with incident response mindset.
- Able to read and debug Python in production.
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana monitoring.
Responsabilités
- Provide out-of-hours operational coverage to ensure maximum trading uptime.
- Be the first point of contact for production incidents and urgent system issues.
- Partner with trading and engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Monitor system performance, health, and alerts with observability tools.
- Contribute to reliability best practices in an SRE-style environment.
- Continuously improve automation, tooling, and operational processes.
