Wellington Management in Boston, MA, seeks a Software Engineer with a DevOps focus to join the Trading Platform Engineering team. You will build and automate the trading platform, work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and production reliability, and partner with teams to deliver resilient systems.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development tools and scalable, secure, and performant solutions. Hybrid work model with in-office presence in Boston or Needham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native concepts.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Git.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and production support.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Build and support Wellington's trading platform components with trading and technology teams.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery with AI-assisted automation.
• Develop infrastructure and automation in AWS using IaC.
• Improve system reliability with monitoring, alerting, and observability practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and architecture teams for scalable solutions.
• Contribute to engineering standards including code quality and test generation with AI tools.
