Overview

The Trading Operations team provides monitoring and outage handling services for components in GTS’s equities, derivatives, ETFs, fixed-income, OTC, FX, and more. The team is transforming from traditional operations to an SRE-style model, replacing email monitoring with an incident ticketing system, and improving our observability stack. The team aims to enhance workflows, onboard more data sources, and expand trading technology coverage. It supports the trading desk directly, working with traders to resolve technical issues and develop support procedures, while collaborating with development teams to improve stability and reduce manual support efforts.

GTS is a collection of financial services companies leveraging market expertise and innovative technology, including AI systems and sophisticated pricing models. GTS Securities, a leading electronic market maker, accounts for 3-5% of daily U.S. cash equities volume and is a prominent DMM at the NYSE.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with proprietary technologies and improve their reliability and performance.
• Expand the observability stack to visualize process health and generate quality alerts.
• Develop tools and procedures to enhance operations across the trade lifecycle.
• Support applications and workflows used by GTS’s global trading teams.
• Identify defects and trends through debugging, logs, and audits.
• Collaborate with development teams on deployments, issue tracking, and debugging.
• Review code and manage technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating in a Linux environment.
• Skilled in SQL for complex database queries.
• Professional experience with securities markets, market verticals, or regulations (e.g., CAT).
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Jira Service Desk.
• Proficiency in Python coding.
• Strong problem-solving skills in development or production environments.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of securities markets and regulations is a plus.

The role is remote within the US, with hours from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm PT.
