Deeter Analytics, a private family office, seeks an experienced Trader to join its investment team. The role focuses on execution with direct exposure to the Principal and immediate impact on portfolio implementation and trading operations.
The ideal candidate has institutional execution experience and a strong foothold in competitive gaming, with opportunities to expand responsibilities based on performance and judgment.
We are a private family office seeking an experienced Trader to join our investment team. As a small, collaborative firm, every member of our team plays a meaningful role in the investment process. This position offers direct exposure to the firm’s Principal and the opportunity to make an immediate impact on portfolio implementation and trading operations.
We are looking for an experienced institutional execution trader who also has a strong background in competitive gaming. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where responsibility is earned and contributions are highly visible.
The role will initially be focused entirely on trade execution, with no discretionary trading responsibility. Over time, there may be opportunities to take on broader responsibilities based on performance, judgment, and demonstrated ability.
Responsibilities
Execute trades across equities, options, ETFs, futures, and other listed securities. Manage the full lifecycle of orders with a focus on execution quality, liquidity, timing, and market impact. Monitor markets throughout the trading day and communicate relevant developments to the investment team. Coordinate with brokers, counterparties, and trading venues. Perform post-trade analysis and continually evaluate execution performance. Assist with trade allocations, reconciliations, and operational workflows. Help improve trading processes, technology, and execution infrastructure. Work closely with the investment team on portfolio implementation and risk management.
Qualifications
Professional execution trading experience is required. Experience at an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, proprietary trading firm, family office, or other institutional trading environment is preferred. Strong understanding of equity market structure and electronic trading platforms. Experience executing institutional-sized orders. Familiarity with options and futures markets is preferred. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication. Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in fast-moving markets. High integrity and discretion.
A meaningful background in competitive gaming is also required. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience playing League of Legends, Defense of the Ancients, Counter Strike, PUBG, Rust or comparable games at a high level. The ideal candidate approaches gaming with the same discipline, competitiveness, pattern recognition, and rapid decision-making required in an execution trading environment.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who:
Is a team player who enjoys working in a close-knit environment. Takes ownership and thrives without unnecessary bureaucracy. Has excellent judgment and attention to detail. Is calm under pressure and disciplined in execution. Processes information quickly and adapts as conditions change. Has a strong aptitude for markets, risk, and probability. Constantly looks for ways to improve processes and efficiency. Wants to be part of a small team where their work has a direct impact on investment performance.
What We Offer
A collaborative, tight-knit team with direct access to decision-makers. A high level of responsibility and autonomy. Exposure to all aspects of the investment process. Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives. An opportunity to help build and improve the firm’s trading capabilities over the long term.
