Job summary

Flow Traders in New York is seeking a Software Engineer (Trading Automation) to join the Technology department. You will develop applications that support core business by improving data frameworks, automating workflows, and increasing efficiency and growth.

You will mentor teammates, manage stakeholders, and interact with global teams to gain end-to-end trading insights. The role requires strong skills in Git, SQL, Python, and Linux, with experience in data-intensive apps and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional working experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong working knowledge of Git, SQL, Python, and Linux.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Ansible, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
• Experience using LLMs to develop software and integrate solutions with existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop workflow automation processes aligned with business needs.
• Design, create, and maintain data pipelines and data-intensive applications.
• Write automated test cases, ensuring coverage of major edge cases.
• Document work, including technical/design specifications and operational guides.
• Deploy software applications to production using CI/CD.
• Provide first line of defense with regards to operational support of delivered solutions.
• Collaborate with local and global stakeholders and team members.
