Job summary

Optiver seeks a Trading Automation and Operations Intern to enhance systematic trading strategies and solve operational challenges on the trading floor. Over ten weeks, you will build automation, investigate real production issues, and improve trading systems and workflows with mentor guidance.

You’ll work with traders, researchers, and engineers to understand problems from multiple angles and deliver practical solutions, using AI-native workflows alongside strong personal judgment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree with graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of financial markets and trading systems.
• Build automation tools and data pipelines used by traders.
• Identify opportunities to simplify manual processes and reduce friction.
