Job summary

Ameriprise Financial seeks a Trading Assistant in Charlotte, NC. You will support advisors, trading partners and home-office staff, handling order activity, reporting and system navigation in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

You’ll work with the Equity & Option Trading team to reconcile orders, allocate trades and resolve settlement issues while contributing to process improvements and risk mitigation. A Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with trading, brokerage or financial services operations is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel and Power BI; familiarity with trading systems and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist advisors and trading partners with order activity and system navigation.
• Perform order book reconciliation and trade allocation.
• Identify and resolve trading and settlement issues; ensure documentation.
• Support report creation, monitoring and analysis for the team.
• Review policies for regulatory compliance and propose improvements.
• Provide back-up support and participate in special projects as needed.
