Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Trade Show Manager in Northern Virginia (hybrid). You will own key trade show programs, coordinating internal teams, exhibitors, vendors, and partners to deliver exceptional experiences from planning through execution.

You will manage complex programs, build strong relationships, and support both strategic planning and hands-on delivery for domestic and international events. Travel is involved as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in trade shows, events, exhibitions, or related field.
• Experience managing complex events or trade show programs.
• Strong project management and multi-priority coordination.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
• Experience mentoring others preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with event technology and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple trade show programs from planning through execution.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to meet objectives.
• Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and priorities.
• Serve exhibitors and partners, addressing their needs throughout the process.
• Coordinate logistics, vendors, materials, staffing, travel, and operations.

• Lead and mentor a trade show team member as needed.
• Build relationships with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders.
• Proactively identify challenges and resolve issues to stay on schedule.
• Attend and support major shows on-site, domestic and international.
• Assist with new event initiatives as the portfolio grows.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Trade Show Manager to take ownership of major trade show initiatives from planning through execution. This person will work closely with internal stakeholders, exhibitors, vendors, and international partners to coordinate successful events and ensure a strong experience for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of multiple trade show programs and manage each event through its full lifecycle.

• Serve as a key resource for exhibitors and partners, ensuring their needs are addressed throughout the event process.
• Coordinate logistics, vendors, event materials, staffing, travel, and other operational requirements.
• Partner with marketing and other internal teams to support event communications and promotional initiatives.
• Help oversee event technology and digital resources used by exhibitors and attendees.
• Lead and prioritize the work of a trade show team member, providing guidance and oversight as needed.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, exhibitors, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Identify challenges early and take ownership of resolving issues to keep events on schedule.
• Attend and support major trade shows on-site, including domestic and international events.
• Assist with new event initiatives and special projects as the organization’s trade show portfolio continues to grow.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in trade shows, events, exhibitions, association management, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex events or trade show programs.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working across departments and with external partners.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring others preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with event technology, CRM, or trade show management systems preferred.
• International event experience is highly valued.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
