Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in East Providence, RI seeks a Full Time Tradeshow Construction Technician to support the Tradeshow Manager and Construction Team Lead in installing and dismantling igus exhibits across North America.

This role covers booth construction, logistics, maintenance, and ensuring materials are ready for travel and show-ready. The position requires at least two years in tradeshow construction, reading drawings, tool proficiency, and up to 30% domestic travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of tradeshow construction or related experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and floor plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble igus tradeshow booths and exhibits according to specifications and design standards.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely to construct booth structures and components.
• Load and unload trucks containing tradeshow equipment, inventory, and materials.
• Install lighting, audiovisual equipment, monitors, and other booth accessories.
• Ensure booth graphics, signage, and product displays are installed accurately and securely.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on booth components, tools, and equipment.
• Communicate with the Tradeshow Manager, Construction Team Lead, and team members to meet timelines.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines, venue rules, and industry regulations.
• When not traveling, manage inventory of tradeshow equipment, restock supplies, and prepare for travel.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
