Job summary

Eastern State Hospital is seeking a Trades Technician III (Generalist) to perform maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical trades, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will repair and maintain equipment, complete preventive maintenance tasks, and handle WP repairs for Retherm units and ice machines under the Trades Manager.

A valid driver’s license and experience in commercial trades are required; EPA refrigerant handling certification

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Experience in commercial: plumbing, carpentry, electrical fields.
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing various types of plumbing, and electrical equipment and maintenance methods pertinent to the general building maintenance field.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

Directly responsible to the Trades Manager for providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents & staff.
Conduct general maintenance work for the carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical shops by repairing and maintaining properly functioning equipment.
PMs and WP Repairs for Retherm Units and Ice Machines.
