An established industry player is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join their team. In this role, you will perform journeyman-level carpentry, including the construction and repair of various structures and installations. Responsible for performing journeyman level work as a Carpenter and semi-skilled work in painting and masonry. Will assist in carrying out projects, and may supervise and instruct lower grade incumbents as needed; will read blueprints and maintain new and existing equipment. Must have basic knowledge of all hand and shop tools associated with the carpentry trade. Specific duties include:
Four years of full-time experience in the Carpentry trade under a skilled journeyman which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprentice training in the carpentry trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade school or institute may be substituted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis. Must possess 2 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work in related trades of Masonry & Painting under the supervision of a skilled tradesman or completion of an appropriate 2-year technical school course.
