DOTD-Engineering & Operations in Louisiana seeks a dedicated equipment mechanic for District 05/Ouachita Parish. You will repair mobile and smaller equipment, using hand tools, diagnostic devices, and shop equipment, under the Mechanic Supervisor B.
Responsibilities include repairs to engines, transmissions, hydraulics, diagnostics with scanners and testers, and assisting teammates in shop or field. A Class D Chauffeur's License is required before appointment.

The overall function of this position is to repair mobile equipment and/or smaller equipment with PC #'s owned by LA DOTD. This position is located in District 05/Operations/Unit 071/Ouachita Parish and reports directly to the Mechanic Supervisor B.
The incumbent may be required to possess the following specialized knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as to maintain the following licensing and operate the following equipment:
No experience or training is required.
