Watts & Associates is partnering with an Am Law 100 global full-service firm to recruit a Trademark & Copyright Associate in a Prosecution / Brand Management capacity across multiple U.S. offices.

The role offers sophisticated trademark, copyright, and brand-protection matters for global brands and technology companies, with ownership of substantive matters and high-value exposure. The successful attorney will work closely with partners and senior attorneys, drafting filings, handling

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of substantive trademark and copyright experience.
• Experience handling trademark, copyright and brand-protection matters for sophisticated clients.
• Strong drafting, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Admission in the relevant office jurisdiction or eligibility to waive in promptly.

Responsibilities

• Advise on trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement and brand-protection strategy.
• Handle copyright, advertising, unfair-competition, domain-name and online-enforcement matters as required.
• Draft filings, cease-and-desist correspondence, coexistence and licence agreements, and client advice.
• Support TTAB, federal-court or other contested proceedings where relevant.
• Coordinate with attorneys and professionals across related practice areas and offices.
