Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney or a professional open to a non-partnership track in the Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice Group. The position offers hybrid work in one of California offices: San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley, with significant client contact and high-profile matters.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, California bar in good standing, and about 2 years of experience in trademark and copyright counseling,

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier, nationally recognized law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2 years of substantive experience with trademark & copyright counseling and litigation, trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management.
• Experience with trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex trademark and copyright litigation, including trial-level work and disputes.
• Counsel on strategy, enforcement, risk management, and media law compliance.
• Assist in investigating, prosecuting, and defending advertising, marketing, and unfair competition claims.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage trial preparation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies.
