Job description

Our client is a top Am law 100 firm, seeking a mid-level trademark associate for its Washington, DC office. The salary for this position is between $215k to $355k.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of trademark experience in a law firm, including managing large global trademark portfolios for sophisticated clients.
• Experience with trademark prosecution, enforcement, portfolio management, and TTAB proceedings.
• Performing trademark clearance searches utilizing Corsearch, Saegis, and the USPTO system.
• Counseling clients on trademark selection, registrability, use, enforcement, and portfolio management.
• Drafting and responding to cease-and-desist letters and advising on trademark enforcement strategies.
• Experience with Madrid Protocol filings, litigating contested TTAB proceedings, and negotiating agreements [coexistence, consent, settlement, and license] is a plus, although not required.
• Familiarity with domain name disputes, social media takedowns, online brand enforcement, anti-counterfeiting programs, customs recordation, and AI-assisted legal research and trademark search tools is also a plus.
• State bar admission with ability to become admitted in the District of Columbia is required.
