Fortive-backed ServiceChannel seeks a Trade SME to support the SCM Managed Facility Services, focusing on HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance for clients in retail, grocery, restaurants, and convenience sectors. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on tasks to deliver effective facilities support and innovative trade solutions.

You will engage with clients and internal teams, review proposals and scopes, and help optimize pricing and service delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting/handyman services in commercial spaces such as grocery stores, restaurants, and retail outlets.
• Proficient in building relationships with diverse teams, clients, and providers through an easygoing interpersonal approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven data analysis and presentation abilities for various audiences, including executive level
• Strong prioritization with multitasking capabilities
• Experience or readiness to create and deliver presentations alongside Facility Coordinators
• Background in Customer Service
• Strong attention to detail
• Innovative and resourceful mindset, especially in uncertain scenarios
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SaaS platforms

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply SOPs and identify improvements.
• Present the value of the trade specialist team during regular business reviews.
• Attend client or provider meetings as needed for trade expertise.

Job description

ServiceChannel is seeking skilled tradespeople to enhance the SC Managed program and evolve our "Facility Management as a Service" offering. Joining the SC Managed Facility Services team as a Trade SME, you will specialize in one or more trades such as HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance while also taking on varied roles—from strategic planning to hands-on tasks—adapting to the team's daily needs. This role involves providing top-notch facilities support to clients in the convenience store/fuel, grocery/supermarket, restaurant, and retail sectors. We are looking for a collaborative individual who is adaptable, capable of juggling diverse responsibilities, and adept at devising innovative solutions to emerging challenges.

Where you’ll make an impact:

• You will drive results in developing the SCM Solution by taking ownership of both provider and client success through the SCM Trade Specialist solution. Team members will leverage ServiceChannel's software tools and established process flows to provide a high level of trade repair expertise to our Managed Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review all proposals submitted within your trade expertise to ensure accuracy for our clients related to the customers repair need and adhere to proposal submission SLAs
• Focus on labor hours, parts, material mark-up, etc. so our goal of most transparent pricing for our clients is fulfilled
• Strong attention to detail in comparing the problem description vs. providers' diagnosis and recommended scope of work for repair resolution to ensure the solution fits the need.
• Collaborate with internal teams during RFPs to ensure all questions are answered clearly and accurately
• Use trade knowledge and background to evaluate complicated work tasks for clients with multiple locations requiring service or projects
• Review all work where the scope goes beyond normal repairs or established not to exceed (NTEs) and provide timely approvals
• Update and document work order information in a timely fashion throughout the work order’s lifecycle
• Collaborate with internal teams during client meetings and presentations
• Learn and apply the standard operating procedures as well as identifying ways to improve them
• Present the value of the trade specialist team to clients during regular business reviews
• Attend client or provider meetings as needed for trade expertise

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting/handyman services, painting, flooring, roofing for commercial spaces such as grocery stores, restaurants, and retail outlets.
• Critical: Proficient in building relationships with diverse teams, clients, and providers through an easygoing interpersonal approach.

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 76,700.00 - 128,100.00.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
