C.R. England, Inc. in Marietta, GA is hiring a Trade Mechanic to service and repair diesel trucks in a safe, organized shop.

This full‑time role offers a 7:00 AM–5:30 PM Monday–Friday schedule with weekly pay, benefits, and a $5,000 signing bonus for experienced mechanics. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Freightliner/Detroit engines and related systems to keep our fleet moving. Applicants should have diesel technician experience, vocational training, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diesel truck systems and components.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals; fill tags and orders.
• Experience with Freightliners or Detroit engines is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Peel decals and prepare units for trade process.
• Body panel replacements (hoods, cab extenders, tank covers).
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair tractor systems (diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, electrical).
• Use computer systems (TMT, TMW, internet) to create and track work orders and parts usage.
• Move equipment on/off safety lanes and around the yard.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work area.
• Provide superior customer service to drivers.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative work atmosphere.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

  Job qualifications may include, but not limited to

  • General knowledge of EGR/emissions control systems, foundation, air, and ABS brake systems, and DC electrical systems.
  • Understand the importance of diagnosis and repair versus parts replacement. - Basic computer knowledge with good written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals and complete/fill tags and repair orders.
  • Experience with Freightliners or Detroit engines a plus. - Excellent customer service skills.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from trade or technical school.
  • Substantial diesel technician experience or heavy duty military mechanic experience with tanks, LAVs, or 5-ton vehicles can take the place of trade school.

  Job requirements may include, but not limited to

  • Utilize computer systems (TMT, TMW, and internet) to accurately create, track, and complete work order repairs including the tracking of time (labor hours), parts used, work completed, and locate technical information as required.
  • Move equipment on and off the safety lane and around the yard.
  • Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide superior customer service to drivers.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a positive, collaborative, efficient, service-oriented manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
