Overview

The Trade Marketing Associate / Sr Associate is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Avaline’s on-premise and retail trade marketing programs, ensuring seamless delivery and strong sales support. This role manages the operational details, timelines, tools, assets, coupons, data insights, and logistics, while supporting the Trade Marketing Director and Manager through flawless execution of assigned priorities.

We’re seeking someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with prior experience in the alcohol/beverage industry.

Reporting to the Director of Trade Marketing. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Base pay range

$68,640.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do
  • Program Execution – Manage daily execution of on-premise and retail initiatives, including shopper marketing programs, displays, promo items, and activations. Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Sales Support – Provide ongoing sales team support with tools, presentations, and timely responses to program needs across both on and off premise channels
  • Workflow & Project Management – Create and maintain Asana tasks and calendars to keep projects on track and ensure clear communication across teams
  • Sales Tools & Presentations – Update and manage presentation decks, sell sheets, and trade marketing documents as prioritized by the Manager and Director
  • Coupons – Own coupon execution, including set-up, tracking, and redemption reporting, while managing spend to budget
  • Custom POS Requests – Coordinate retailer, regional, and account-specific POS, ensuring brand alignment and quality
  • Trade Activation Support – Manage logistics and details for market takeovers, food & wine events, and high-impact activations working closely with Manager & Director
  • Digital Shelf Updates – Manage ongoing uploads and updates across Vivino, Syndigo, Instacart, and retailer platforms
  • Data & Reporting – Track and report on retailer trends from syndicated and published reports, and prepare data-driven recaps of Avaline’s trade marketing programs to evaluate impact and inform future planning
  • Logistics – Coordinate shipping, order collection, and tracking for all trade marketing programs
  • Cross-Functional Support – Collaborate closely with sales, brand marketing, and external partners to align on goals and ensure smooth program execution

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in trade marketing, brand marketing, sales support, shopper marketing, or related CPG role (2–4 years for Sr. Associate consideration)
  • Alcohol beverage industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with proficiency in Google Slides/Power Point and Google Sheets/Excel
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) is a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Comfort managing logistics, budgets, and external vendors or partners

The Trade Marketing Associate / Sr Associate position will offer a salary of $68,640 - 85,000 per year + annual bonus, based on a variety of factors.
