Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Trade Finance Manager at our Charlotte, NC site on a hybrid schedule. You will lead trade finance operations across North America, Latin America and Corporate segments, optimizing transactions and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

You will report to the Senior Director Treasury Americas and help shape risk strategies, develop policies, and work with the commercial teams to structure deals using trade instruments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in trade finance or treasury operations.
• Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, risk management, and compliance regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective trade finance strategies that enhance financial performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in trade finance systems and financial analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of guarantees and trade finance instruments.

Responsibilities

• Manage trade finance operations, including guarantees, letters of credit, and other instruments.
• Develop and implement policies to optimize trade finance processes and minimize risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify exposures and mitigate risk.
• Partner with the commercial organization to structure deals requiring trade instruments.
• Maintain records of issued instruments and cancel unused ones.

Job description

As a Trade Finance Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing trade finance operations, optimizing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance within the North America, Latin America and Corporate business segments. Your expertise will enhance our financial strategies and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

You will report directly to our Senior Director Treasury Americas, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell's business by implementing effective trade finance strategies, use the existing platforms and standing operating procedures in place; along with ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your leadership will support strategic initiatives enhancing the company's ability to manage customer and supplier credit exposure efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage trade finance operations, including parent company guarantees, letters of credit, and other trade‑related financial instruments.

• Develop and implement policies and enhance any procedure to optimize trade finance processes and minimize financial risks.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify exposures and develop trade finance strategies to mitigate risk.

• Partner with the commercial organization to structure deals that include or require trade finance instruments.

• Maintain records of all instruments issued and proactively cancel any instruments no longer needed.
