Gresham Toyota is seeking a Trade Driver to move and transport vehicles across the Portland metro area and beyond. The role supports a high-volume used vehicle operation, with inventory moved through trade-ins, auctions, and dealer transfers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Prior automotive transport or dealer trade driving experience preferred.
• Reliable and punctual to meet tight transport schedules.
• Detail-oriented documentation of vehicle condition to avoid disputes.
• Ability to drive a wide range of vehicle makes and sizes.
• Familiarity with Portland metro road network is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Transport trade-in vehicles from customer locations, auctions, and dealerships to the Gresham Toyota lot, safely and efficiently.
• Inspect vehicles before and after transport and document condition for records.
• Conduct dealer trades by transporting vehicles to and from other dealerships as directed.
• Run auction assignments by driving to pickup purchased inventory and delivering units.
• Maintain transport logs and vehicle condition documentation throughout assignments.
• Communicate any vehicle condition concerns or delays proactively.
• Assist with lot organization and vehicle staging between transports.

Gresham Toyota runs a high-volume used vehicle operation on Portland's east side. Trade-ins, auction purchases, and inter-store transfers move through this store daily -- and the Trade Driver is the person who keeps that inventory moving accurately and on time. The wide pay range reflects experience: a driver with prior automotive transport, auction, or dealer trade experience comes in higher; a driver who is new to the role and learning the operation starts lower and earns as they develop.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Transport trade-in vehicles from customer locations, auctions, and other dealerships to the Gresham Toyota lot -- driving safely and efficiently across the Portland metro area and beyond as needed
• Inspect vehicles before and after transport -- documenting existing condition accurately so the used vehicle team has a clear record of what arrived and when
• Conduct dealer trades -- transporting vehicles to and from other dealerships in the network as directed by sales and used vehicle management
• Run auction assignments -- driving to and from auction facilities to pick up purchased inventory and deliver sold or transferred units
• Keep accurate transport logs and vehicle condition documentation throughout every assignment
• Communicate proactively on any vehicle condition concerns, transport delays, or issues discovered during pickup or delivery
• Assist with lot organization and vehicle staging as needed between transport assignments

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record -- required
• Prior automotive transport, dealer trade, auction driving, or related driving experience preferred -- the wide pay range reflects where candidates with experience enter versus those learning the role
• Reliable and punctual -- transport assignments have timing dependencies and the team depends on the driver following through without being chased
• Detail-oriented on vehicle condition documentation -- accurate inspection notes at pickup protect the store and the used vehicle team from disputes down the road
• Comfortable driving a wide range of vehicle makes, models, and sizes
• Familiarity with the Portland metro road network a meaningful advantage
