Job summary

Cboe Global Markets in Chicago is offering a Trade Desk Intern role where you will learn US equities and options market structure, and get hands-on experience with Cboe technology and systems supporting electronic markets.

You will assist with customer support, develop troubleshooting and investigation skills, and contribute to project work while pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field. This internship runs June–August with a final presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program and not scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments, independently or in teams, plus strong written and verbal communication.

Your responsibilities and learning objectives

• Learning US equities and options market structure
• Familiarizing yourself with Cboe technology and systems supporting electronic capital markets
• Assisting with customer support
• Developing troubleshooting and technical investigation skills
• Contributing to our team through the completion of assigned project work

The ideal candidate has

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new systems/processes quickly and identify areas for potential improvement.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments, work well on a team or on your own, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $22.00 - $42.00 per hour. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay target for new hires working in the position full time. Within the range, individual pay is determined by years of education completed. In addition to base pay, eligibility for our total rewards program may include benefits such as 401(k) with a generous company match and paid sick time.
