Job summary

Employbridge is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support import/export operations and ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.

You will partner across supply chain, production control, procurement, freight forwarders, and government agencies to drive best practices in global trade compliance. The role involves developing procedures, conducting HTS classifications, auditing entries, and providing training to internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting import/export compliance or international trade operations.
  • Familiarity with FTZ requirements and trade compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of HTS classification and harmonized system.
  • Working knowledge of ACE and EAR regulations.
  • Experience with customs audits and trade documentation.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain import/export compliance procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. government and international import/export regulations.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate efficient international shipments.
  • Research trade regulations and implement process improvements to maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to internal teams across the organization.
  • Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS).
  • Audit customs entries to ensure accurate tariff classifications, country of origin declarations, and trade documentation.
  • Perform AD/CVD analyses.
  • Support audits and documentation requests from government agencies.
  • Review brokerage invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and improve Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes.
  • Prepare and process Duty Drawback claims.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT requirements and security standards.
  • Partner with customer service and internal stakeholders to support global trade activities.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process Duty Drawback claims.
  • Ensure compliance with CTPAT requirements and security standards.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and related compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of HTS classification and the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.
  • Working knowledge of ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Experience with customs audits, trade documentation, and compliance reporting.ERP system experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
