Job summary

Moog is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist for a fully remote role near Blacksburg, VA. You will serve as the subject matter expert on export regulations and assist with licenses, screenings, and compliance programs.

This role requires knowledge of ITAR, EAR, ATF, and OFAC, with experience in manufacturing or similar environments. You will work to ensure Moog's export activities comply with regulations, train staff, and support the global supply chain while collaborating with regional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3 years of experience or associate degree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization or similar.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations (ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC).
• Experience with licenses and USG authorizations and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Support international trade activities as SME on export regulations and perform KYC/due diligence.
• Advise on export licenses, TCPs, and other USG authorizations for shipments and data.
• Perform Denied Party Screening and assist with license administration and compliance training.
• Help build the compliance culture and provide training to personnel on compliance topics.

Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join them! You will have a remote work schedule near Blacksburg VA. This is a Regional Remote position for the Blacksburg VA team and will report to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager. To be considered for the Trade Compliance Specialist role, you should have: * Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 3 years of experience or associate degree with 7 years of experience.* Experience working in or supporting a manufacturing organization or similar role. Highly desired: * An advanced degree in International Business or Engineering, along with trade-related certifications.* Experience in contracts, program administration, or engineering* Direct export licensing experience*.** Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, ATF, and OFAC*.* As the Trade Compliance Specialist, you will: * Support the Operation’s activities in international trade and function as a subject matter expert in export regulations; perform KYC/due diligence; perform Denied Party Screening; assist with obtaining licenses and other USG authorizations; advising the business on the export goods and technical data.* Advise and provide expertise to ensure Moog’s compliance with export laws with respect to the shipment of goods, technical data and the providing of services, foreign travel, foreign visitors, Technology Control Plans (TCPs) and other international activities.* Assist in building the culture of compliance and support the administration of the Company Compliance Program within the Group* Increase compliance awareness through support and training of personnel on all aspects of compliance (i.e., Denied Party Screening, etc.)* Serve as a focal point for license/USG export authorization administration, including post-approval tasks such as kick-off meetings with program teams, monitoring and maintaining the use of authorizations.* Provide guidance and assistance to functional departments in the development or modification of existing processes and work procedures to ensure proper trade compliant actions are considered at the appropriate time to promote compliance and mitigate risks.* Support domestic and international business travel, including regular travel to Moog’s Blacksburg VA location.
