Job summary

Belimo seeks an entry-level Trade Compliance Coordinator to support and learn within our global trade compliance program.

You'll perform routine audits, document reviews, and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience and mentorship. The role begins in-office with a transition to a hybrid schedule after training, with a base hourly pay and a performance bonus discussed during onboarding.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Currently pursuing or pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP is a plus.
  • Exposure to import/export documentation or transportation operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine import entry data audits using established audit procedures and document findings.
  • Review customs entry documentation for completeness and identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Maintain trade compliance records and electronic filing systems according to retention requirements.
  • Monitor shared Trade Compliance email inbox and route requests appropriately.
  • Track corrective actions from audits and follow up with brokers or stakeholders.
  • Cross-train on various Trade Compliance processes to support continuity.
  • Assist with preparing reports for Customs brokers, Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine import entry data audits using established audit procedures and document findings for review.
  • Review customs entry documentation for completeness and identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Maintain trade compliance records and electronic filing systems in accordance with company record retention requirements.
  • Monitor shared Trade Compliance email inbox and route requests to the appropriate team member.
  • Track corrective actions resulting from import entry audits and follow up with brokers or internal stakeholders as directed.
  • Cross-train on various Trade Compliance processes to support business continuity.
  • Assist with preparing reports for Customs brokers, Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics.
Who You Are
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Exposure to import/export documentation or transportation operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Minimal travel (0–5%).
  • In office for the first 12 months with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after full training.

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $28 - $32 hourly with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
