- Coordinate collection of customs, transportation, clearance, and delivery records from freight forwarders, customs brokers, importers of record, and logistics providers
- Track product homologation, certification, permit, and other import documentation requirements, following up with internal teams and external providers
- Support international shipment requests, including laptops, marketing materials, hand-carries, returns, and other non-standard movements
- Review requests for completeness, resolve routine documentation issues, and escalated classification, licensing, sanctions, or customs questions to the appropriate regional lead
- Maintain complete, retrievable trade compliance records and trackers for open requests and outstanding documentation
- Support ERP/GTM activities, including helping establish Oracle-based trade compliance infrastructure, data validation, and related projects
- Build and support data reporting, metrics, and KPIs for the trade compliance function
- Document recurring processes and maintain SOPs, checklists, and work instructions
- Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, or automate manual trade compliance processes
Minimum Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in global trade compliance (logistics, transportation, security, or banking compliance backgrounds alone will not qualify)
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations and trade compliance operations and concepts
- Hands-on experience with commercial invoices and international shipping and customs documentation
- Working knowledge of HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, and export control concepts, including ECCN and export licensing
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics providers, or importers of record
- Strong data reporting skills, including metrics, KPIs, and process improvement
- Ability to manage multiple requests independently and recognize when a matter requires escalation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across teams, regions, and time zones
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) experience (strongly preferred)
- Interest or background in AI tools and automation for process improvement
