Southern Air is seeking Apprentice Technicians in Mechanicsville, VA to learn HVAC, plumbing, electrical or sheet metal by working with Journeyman and Master tradespeople. Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Interest in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Sheet Metal trades.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail; strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- NCCER Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation and assembly of trade materials in shop and field.
- Support setup and operation of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Learn industry best practices from experienced tradespeople.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow proper material handling and safety procedures.
- Participate in training opportunities and skill development programs.
- Collaborate with team members and maintain professional relationships.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
