Southern Air, Inc. is recruiting for an Apprentice Technician in Greensboro, NC. You will learn to install, maintain, and repair commercial mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal systems while working alongside Journeyman and Master tradespeople.

This entry-level role offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and long-term growth, with paid apprenticeship training and a broad benefits package including ESOP and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Interest in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Sheet Metal trades.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass post-offer drug screen and background checks.
• NCCER Certification preferred.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and assembly of trade-specific materials and equipment in shop and field environments.
• Support setup and operation of tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Learn industry best practices from experienced tradespeople.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow proper material handling and safety procedures.
• Participate in training opportunities and skill development programs.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain professional working relationships.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
