Job summary

Duke Energy, Groveland Distribution Center in Florida, is seeking a Tractor Trailer Operator II to safely move freight and equipment, load/unload, and secure cargo daily. The role requires operating road tractors with various trailers and using a mobile crane, while maintaining logs and complying with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Position is on-call, travel-ready, and may include nights, weekends, or holidays. Must live within 50 miles of Groveland and have a valid CDL-A with related certifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate safe driving record.
• At least three (3) years of experience driving road tractors and semi-trailers.
• Must be substation entry trained.
• Internal candidates must pass (or have passed) the required skills demonstration.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have worked as a TTO I; or have previous job experience primarily driving road tractors and semi-trailers for a minimum of three (3) years.
• Operation of over-the-road tractors and should include the hauling of over dimensional materials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
