Job summary

ASB Freight Co. is seeking a Class A CDL driver for a dedicated regional refrigerated freight role based in West Jefferson, Ohio.

You will handle scheduled retail shipments, including store deliveries and shuttle movements, with weekly home time and a rotating schedule, serving Chicago and surrounding communities. This full-time position offers weekly pay, mileage- and detainment-based earnings, and a holiday start bonus for qualifying new drivers.

CDL-A Truck Driver – Regional Refrigerated Freight

Employment Type: Full-Time
Driving Position: Dedicated Regional / Store Delivery

About the Position

We are hiring Class A CDL drivers for a refrigerated transportation operation based in West Jefferson, Ohio.

Drivers will handle scheduled retail shipments, including store deliveries and shuttle movements. Routes primarily serve Chicago and surrounding communities, with a combination of highway driving and urban delivery locations.

This is a full-time driving position with weekly home time and a rotating schedule.

Weekly Pay

Average Earnings: $1,860 per week

Top-performing drivers may earn up to $2,539 weekly, depending on assigned routes and productivity.

Pay is calculated through mileage, stop pay, and applicable detention compensation.

A holiday start bonus is also available for qualifying new drivers, subject to program eligibility.

Actual earnings may vary.

Working Hours and Home Time

This fleet operates around the clock, including weekends.

Drivers should expect:

• Weekly home time with a 34-hour reset
• Opportunities for additional home time during the week, depending on assignments
• Daytime or overnight schedules
• Variable start times
• Weekend and holiday work as required

The operation may allow drivers to return home two to three days during certain weeks, but additional home time is not guaranteed.

Primary Job Duties

• Transport refrigerated retail freight on assigned regional routes
• Complete deliveries to retail stores and designated shuttle locations
• Operate 28-foot and 53-foot refrigerated trailers
• Verify freight and delivery documentation
• Observe unloading at locations where store personnel handle freight
• Use a liftgate and pallet jack at designated delivery locations
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures

Trailers are preloaded before dispatch. Most stores unload their own freight, although certain locations require driver-assisted unloading.

Trucks and Parking

The fleet operates automatic-transmission tractors with refrigerated trailers.

Drivers may park their assigned equipment at an approved secure location, subject to company requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Minimum 3 months of qualifying tractor-trailer experience
• Ability to perform occasional freight-handling duties
• Comfortable making deliveries in metropolitan areas
• Availability for variable shifts and weekend assignments
