Job Duties

  1. Drive tractor-trailer vehicles to designated locations.
  2. Operate mechanized loading and unloading equipment.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months of FedEx Express experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to drive manual transmission (preferred).
  • Ability to operate mechanized loading/GSE equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Capability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
  • Customer contact and package handling experience (preferred).
  • Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
  • Neat appearance, as customer contact is involved.

Job Conditions

  • FMCSA covered safety-sensitive position.
  • Medical exam required.
  • Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, including testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a hazardous materials endorsement (HME) within 90 days.
  • Must have a good driving record as outlined in policy.
  • Neat appearance required due to customer contact.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range provides a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, market level, location, and other factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, bonuses, or premiums. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

Starting Pay: $28.60 (including a $1.50 pay premium)

Floating schedule, including nights and weekends.
