Assure safe, legal and timely transportation of equipment to and from assigned destinations. This position will also perform various warehouse duties.
Tools and Equipment:
Six or ten wheel tractors and trucks in conjunction with four to eight wheel trailers. Fork lift and other vehicles as assigned. Seat belt, safety shoes, safety glasses and ear protection as required. Hand held package scanners and RF scanners.
Materials:
Drivers are responsible for transporting W.I.P. inventory supplies including hazardous material between plants and subcontractors, as well as tool and dies. Responsible for loading trailers and trucks in compliance with legal weight limits.

Working Procedure:
The following are the usual major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties as assigned by the supervisor:
•Driving vehicles between locations.
•Loading and arranging trailers and trucks for safe and legal transport of cargo.
•Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
•Must comply with both division and plant specific safety policies.
•Must have wheel chocks in place when loading and unloading.
•Must follow all safety requirements of job as outlined on the job safety card
•Transact revert and scrap metal using ERP system.
•Prepare revert and scrap metal for shipment.
•Transact and prepare reclaim wax.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. May be required to back up Stores Operator.
•Complete all paperwork associated with the job. Correctly maintain all forms and instruction sheets
•Maintain a clean and orderly working environment
•Inform your supervisor about problems that occur
•May be required to handle hazardous waste by collecting and transferring the waste into proper containers at satellite storage areas or storage areas and assuring that the containers are properly inspected, labeled, and closed as required. Must follow correct instruction for handling hazardous waste and report any deviations to supervisor immediately. Must attend yearly instruction in hazardous waste handling and review of current procedures if job duties could affect non-compliance.
Special Skills and/or Experience: •Must have valid CDL with Hazardous Material endorsement. •Familiarity with all DOT rules and handbooks. •Must pass DOT physical. •Requires sufficient strength and physical dexterity to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. •Six months driving experience. •Must be able to obtain a valid fork truck license. •Six months experience as a Stores Operator. Minimum Education Requirements: •High School diploma or equivalent.
