Job summary

V&H Logistic 1 Corporation in Trenton, NJ is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to join our growing team. You will be responsible for safe, on-time freight delivery, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate logs in accordance with DOT requirements.

The ideal candidate has a valid CDL-A, 1–2 years of verifiable tractor trailer experience, a clean driving record, knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service, and hands-on experience with ELD systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and navigate efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain logs of hours of service, mileage, and deliveries (ELD/paper).
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates and delays.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.

• Operate tractor trailer vehicles to transport and deliver freight safely and on schedule
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Plan and navigate efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
• Maintain accurate logs including hours of service, mileage, and delivery records (ELD/paper logs)
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or issues
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and company policies

Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required
• Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules
• Experience with ELD (Electronic Logging Device) systems
