Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Tractor Technician Trainee in Maintenance. This part-time role focuses on foundational shop knowledge, safety, and company policies while gaining hands-on exposure to tools and procedures.

Under supervision, you will learn air brake systems, FHWA inspections, and related repairs, with potential outdoor work and shifts that may include nights, weekends, and overtime.

Job Summary:

Under close supervision, this position is responsible for gaining foundational knowledge of tools, equipment, shop safety, and J.B. Hunt Shop rules, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will learn to become efficient in, but not limited to, Air Break Systems and FHWA Inspections and the general repairs associated with them. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age

Compensation:

The expected starting pay for this role is $19.98

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
