Under close supervision, you will gain foundational knowledge of tools, shop safety, and the company’s rules while learning to service air brake systems and FHWA inspections. This part-time role offers outdoor work and potential shift variations, with opportunities to develop hands-on skills and advance within maintenance. • Shadow a more senior team member to learn to perform repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications complete work orders and train to be efficient in company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times
• Train to become efficient in routine preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, basic repair as it pertains to air brake systems and FHWA Inspections

Job Title: Tractor Technician Trainee

Job Summary: Under close supervision, this position is responsible for gaining foundational knowledge of tools, equipment, shop safety, and J.B. Hunt Shop rules, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will learn to become efficient in, but not limited to, Air Break Systems and FHWA Inspections and the general repairs associated with them. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
