Job summary

Marten Transport in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Body Shop Technician to perform tractor body and fender repairs. You will prime, paint, and apply finishes as needed and work toward efficient, safe workmanship in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities include keeping accurate records of body parts used, assisting with rush projects, and maintaining shop cleanliness. Candidates should have basic welding, painting, and data entry skills, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required, secondary education a plus.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Experience with aluminum panel welding and painting a plus.
• Must possess general tools for the trade (hand and air tools) and be ready to acquire them promptly.

Responsibilities

• Possess general knowledge of body repair in a correct procedure of repair to a vehicle.
• Ability to do work at a reasonable rate of time in a safe manner with good workmanship.
• Prime, paint, single stage and clear coat as appropriate on equipment.
• Be responsible for cleaning shop in work area as necessary.
• Assist with additional projects, work orders and on rush projects.
• Record and audit all body parts used on repaired vehicles.
• Perform job duties in a safe and economical manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
