Job summary

Alstom in the Pittsburgh area is hiring a Mechanical Traction Design Engineer in West Mifflin, PA. You will apply mechanical engineering expertise to the development and integration of traction system products, working with global teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments.

You’ll model in 3D, create 2D deliverables, manage requirements, and support design reviews and Gates, while coordinating with Procurement, Industrialization, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure robust, scalable

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Experience in traction mechanical engineering (desired).
• Proficient in 3D/2D CAD software (AutoCAD or Catia V5).
• Familiar with MS Office tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with global teams.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling and 2D drawings for traction systems.
• Design analysis and interfaces with subsystems.
• Prepare documents for design reviews and gates.
• Maintain Engineering BOM.
• Coordinate with global teams across functions.
