Job summary

RaceOn is seeking a Motorsport Engineer to support tyre modelling and trackside data analysis across multiple projects. You will work with engineers and drivers to optimise on‑track performance, develop pre/post-event simulations, and validate tyre models against track and rig data.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree, 3+ years in high‑level motorsport, knowledge of vehicle dynamics and tyre modelling, experience with MATLAB or Python, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or comparable higher education.
• At least 3 years’ experience in high level motor sports.
• Good theoretical knowledge in vehicle dynamics and tyre modelling.
• Experience with tyre testing on track and/or test benches.
• Practical experience in MATLAB or Python.
• Knowledge of data analysis programs.

General Information

We can only consider applications from candidates based in Europe or the USA. This position is remote, hybrid, or in‑office, depending on the project. Regular travel to the race track is required.

Your mission

• Support all race, test, simulator and rig activities
• Work in conjunction with other engineers and drivers to optimize the performance on track
• Provide pre & post event simulation, analysis and key performance metrics of tyre performance in race and test events
• Assist in developing tyre physics understanding and, in conjunction with tyre modelling engineers, support vehicle performance analysis and development
• Ensure ongoing validation and correlation of the tyre models to track and rig data to ensure robust validation of simulation results
• Research and use appropriate technologies to ensure continuous development of our models to meet the engineering requirements of the Team
• Interact across the entire Team to provide methodologies, tools and solutions to support objective technical decision making

Your profile

• Degree in engineering or comparable higher education
• At least 3 years’ experience in high level motor sports
• Good theoretical knowledge in the field of vehicle dynamics and tyre modelling
• Experience with tyre testing on track and/or test benches
• Practical experience in the use of coding languages such as MATLAB or Python
• Knowledge of data analysis programs
• Good communication skills
• Time flexibility, absolute willingness to travel, especially on weekends
• You are able to work in a team and independently and have a high level of commitment
