Goodyear is seeking a Trackside Service Specialist to support Motorsports National Series events with tire distribution, inventory control, and customer service at the track. You will coordinate mounting and balancing services and travel frequently to multi-day race events across the year.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
As a Trackside Service Specialist you will supports logistics, inventory management, sales transactions, and customer service operations at Motorsports National Series racing events for Mickey Thompson Motorsports. The role serves as the primary trackside contact for race teams, providing tire distribution, technical support, mounting and balancing coordination, and expert product guidance. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing sales and payments, and ensuring efficient event operations while representing the company professionally with customers, distributors, and industry partners. Extensive travel is required, including frequent multi-day race events on weekends throughout the year.
Plays a critical role in supporting Motorsports National Series events by ensuring accurate tire inventory management, distribution, and sales operations that keep race teams supplied and event activities running smoothly. Serves as a key customer-facing representative for Mickey Thompson, building relationships with race teams, distributors, and event stakeholders while providing technical expertise and exceptional service at the track. Directly contributes to revenue generation and operational accuracy through sales processing, invoicing, payment collection and inventory control, ensuring financial and service excellence at every event. Enhances brand reputation and product performance by delivering technical tire support, coordinating mounting and balancing services, and representing the company professionally at high-visibility racing events across the country.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, Operations, or a related field is valued and can complement industry experience. Significant racing industry experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of motorsports operations and customer needs.
Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new digital tools and business processes.
Experience with inventory management and logistics operations is preferred, along with technical knowledge related to racing products and services.
