Track Varsity Assistant Coach, Part‑Time

Job Category: Ancillary (Lifeguards/Summer/Seasonal)

The position is a one‑year ancillary role for the 2026‑2027 season. The season runs from February to June with practices Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Meets are held on weekdays after school/evenings with some weekend events. Off‑season work is flexible but required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license required.
• Has at least 1 year of successful coaching experience or experience playing at the collegiate level.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.
• Must have the ability to teach beginner skills while also developing various skill level athletes in a positive and professional manner.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse youth. Experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds is preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in providing safe, structured skill development practice and playing experiences, while also developing high‑character student athletes.
• Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
• Must demonstrate and uphold high ethical standards, serving as a role model and demonstrating a commitment to student engagement.
• Must be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
