Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is seeking a capable individual to serve as a flagger and escort for work crews on the Track & ROW. Duties include cleaning, servicing, fueling and operating non-revenue vehicles for facilities and track sections within the Ways, Structures & Amenities Division.

Responsibilities involve assisting Technicians, Mechanics, and Maintainers with maintenance tasks, delivering materials, and upholding safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain certification per state/federal regulations.
• Must communicate effectively with public, co-workers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Escort and flag on track ROW according to procedures.
• Dig and cement sign posts and repair areas as directed.
• Assist technicians and Maintainers with maintenance, fueling, operation and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Deliver materials as directed.
• Promote safety and quality assurance programs.
• Complete required training to maintain job knowledge and safety.
• Maintain communication with Rail Operation Control.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
