Job summary

PSC Group seeks a Team Leader to guide field crews in track operations with a focus on safety, training, and performance. This full-time role emphasizes servant leadership, developing others, and delivering top results on complex rail projects.

You will coach employees, enforce safety practices, and ensure on-site procedures meet PSC and customer standards while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a lead position (leadman, supervisor, foreman)
  • Industrial experience is a plus but not required
  • Must pass drug screen, physical, and background check
  • 18+ years old and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a TWIC card, depending on work location
  • Speak, write, read fluent English
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
  • Military experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures employees have the knowledge, training, tools, and equipment needed to perform their work safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Actively participates in safety meetings and training initiatives to model strong leadership behaviors
  • Performs regular safety observations in the field to maintain high visibility with employees and customers
  • Oversees on-the-job training to ensure it aligns with PSC and customer best practices
  • Provides positive reinforcement and timely one-on-one coaching to support employee growth and accountability
  • Reviews area procedures for accuracy, redlines necessary updates, and communicates changes to PSC and customer leadership
  • Experience with performing track repairs and rebuilding using both power and manual tools
  • Removes spikes, drills rail holes, replaces ballast, and installs track fasteners
  • Operates hand tools such as shovels, picks, axes, and sledgehammers
  • Uses electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools including drills, saws, jacks, and grinders
  • Lifts and moves rail materials and components as needed
  • Assists with re‑railing derailed railcars
  • Performs other duties as required to support safe and efficient track operations

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in a lead position (e.g. leadman, team leader, foreman, supervisor, etc.)
  • Industrial experience is a plus but not required
  • May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
  • Speak, write, read fluent English
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
Work Schedule:

12 hour rotating shift (alternates between days / nights) Includes holidays and weekends
