Job summary

Delaware North at Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in Cross Lanes, WV is seeking a full-time Track Maintenance Worker to ensure the racing surface, equipment, and related areas are maintained safely and in compliance with racing standards. The role offers a shift with Sundays and Mondays off and wages of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid motor vehicle license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Racing Commission License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect track surface, infield, and tote board area and perform maintenance of track equipment.
• Assist in beautification projects.
• Inspect boiler and heating tubes to ensure proper heating and moisture conditions.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Director of Racing.
• Maintain kennel compound’s sprint path and grounds.

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time Track Maintenance Worker to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. As Track Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and safety of the racing surface and associated equipment.

$17.50 – $17.50 / hour

What will you do?

• Ensure compliance with racing commission standards, inspect the track surface, infield, and tote board area, performing maintenance of the track and racing surface operating track equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Assist in beautification projects
• Inspect boiler and heating tubes to ensure proper heating and moisture conditions
• Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Racing
• Properly maintain the kennel compound’s sprint path and associated grounds

More about you

• Current valid motor vehicle license
• Able to obtain and maintain a Racing Commission License

Physical requirements

• Capacity to lift or carry up to 90 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk for long periods, as well as push and pull, climb, mount, and dismount forklift
• Possible exposure to varying temperatures, high volume noise, fumes and odors, and dogs and dog dander
