Job summary

Church Farm School in Exton, PA seeks an Assistant Coach for Track & Field: Throwing to support the head coach in leading our program. This stipend role emphasizes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship within a faith-based independent school serving boys in grades 9-12.

The ideal candidate will have coaching experience in throwing events, reliable transportation, and a commitment to student development. The position is on-site with a focus on character and athletic excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have current valid driver’s license and willingness to drive nine passenger vans.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coaching throwing events (shot put, discus or javelin) at the youth, high school or college level.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with coaching and monitoring of the athletic program.
• Have experience as an athlete or coaching in throwing events (shot put, discus or javelin).
• Attend all practices and games.
• Demonstrate a willingness to support the school’s mission, entire program, and core values through personal example, actions, and attitude.
• Assist the head coach with ensuring that scholar athletes adhere to eligibility rules, grade requirements and rules of behavior.
• Cultivate and consistently maintain positive relationships with scholars and members of the CFS community.
• Promote self-discipline and responsible decision-making among the scholars.
• Assist the head coach with ensuring the continual supervision of scholar athletes during practice, workouts, and in the locker room.
