Job summary

California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks seeks an Assistant Track & Field Coach I to support the program under the Head Coach. You will assist in coaching during practices and meets, help develop workouts, and contribute to game plans and film review.

The role requires NCAA/SCIAC knowledge, commitment to student-athlete development, and flexible hours including evenings and weekends. This is a 0.6 FTE, on-site staff role within a Division III athletics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field and one year coaching at the collegiate level.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and SCIAC/Division III athletics.
• Ability to recruit and mentor student-athletes while upholding university standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with coaching during practices and meets.
• Help develop practice and game plans and review film as needed.
• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Assist with camps, compliance, and student-athlete development activities.
