Job summary

Corriher Lipe Middle School in Landis, NC is seeking an assistant coach for girls' track. This part-time role requires leadership, organization of a multi-sport program and strong knowledge of track techniques.

You will support the head coach and athletic director while mentoring student athletes and ensuring safety and good sportsmanship. Responsibilities include implementing athletic policies, coordinating staff, and assisting with practices, games and student development.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport (preferred).
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and ongoing learning of theories.
• Serve as a positive role model for student athletes through actions and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement athletic policies approved by the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Board of Education.
• Interpret and apply system, state and league regulations for staff.
• Refer requests or grievances through proper channels and attend required meetings.
• Lead staff conferences, clinics and meetings to ensure staff awareness of the program.
• Train and inform staff, encourage professional growth and clinic attendance.
• Delegate duties, supervise implementation and evaluate staff performance.
• Maintain discipline and morale, and manage grievances and safety.
