Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools in Ashburn, VA seeks an assistant high school track coach for Park View High School during the Winter season (Nov–Feb). You will support the head athletic coach and work with the athletic department to run a structured program.

The role requires coaching experience at high school/college level, CPR/First Aid training, and eligibility for a Virginia teaching license or classified status.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or current training).
• Virginia teaching license or eligibility for Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in LCPS.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well structured program.
• Work cooperatively with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
• Recommend suggested disciplinary actions regarding players violating training rules and procedures.
• Foster among the athletes a desire to win, an attitude of good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
• Perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
